Spinning

A young maiden sits at a spinning wheel weaving a cloth of gold, silver and colours untold. When asked why, she wistfully tells us that she is weaving the splendid garment to wear on the day she is queen. I particularly like this one as it doesn't follow the common narrative of a girl preparing for her wedding day but rather for becoming a mighty queen! (And which young woman whose future holds royalty would be spinning her own cloth, we might ask ourselves ...?)
