I Had a Little Dog and His Name Was Bluebell is the story of the narrator sending his dog on various errands around the house and garden. It contains some nice alliteration like “pick up a pin” as well as rhymes and fun, unusual phrases like “fell in a rage.” In our research we couldn't find any version with a melody, so we decided to give our arrangement a strong rhythmic feel and turn it into a clapping game.
