SCHOOL SONGS
This website provides a wide range of nursery rhymes, verses, poems, tongue-twisters and other songs including canons and morning rounds. The recordings are meant as resources for teachers to be able to teach themselves the songs, verse etc. in order to better teach the children in their classes or in their care. There are video clips to give ideas for how the songs and verses can be introduced to the children as well as descriptions and general information on the rhymes and songs. Recommendations for which age group is best suited for which of the songs, rhymes etc. are made in the form of “Playlists” and “Groupings”. Courses which go more into depth on how to teach the songs, verse etc. are offered in various packages, as are the options of booking one or one or small group tutorials. Most importantly, the website is meant as a source of inspiration for bringing more joy and fulfilment to your lessons as teachers.

ABOUT ME
Originally from England, I've been living in Germany since the year 2000 and have been teaching English, primarily in the lower and middle school of the Freie Waldorfschule Kreuzberg for over a decade. As a native English speaking teacher, I realised what an incredible advantage it was to have the nursery rhymes I was using in my lessons already deeply embedded in my memory and not to have to learn them all by heart as an adult. I decided to create a resource for teachers to learn these historical songs through listening to my specially arranged versions.
I'm a mother of 4 and an active member of the singer-songwriter community in Berlin.
