Baa Baa Black Sheep

Baa Baa Black Sheep

One of the more ancient nursery rhymes, it has been suggested to refer to the heavy wool taxation,  which was implemented in 1275. The melody is very akin to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. For the  children it is fun to find gestures for the three characters in the rhyme: a “master”, a dame, a little boy  and of course a black sheep.
