This song is usually just one verse but we have joined several verses with a similar lyrical structure together with the tune of ring-a-ring a roses behind it. The song is rich in lots of different images but the main focus is on falling down and getting up again. This makes it more interesting as a circle dance. Like all circle dances they are best when you have plenty of room. Outside on the school yard is great or, if you are picking the children up from break time, you can use it as a transition into their English lesson.
