Songs from One For The Golden Sun

These songs were all originally published in a book of the same title by Starborn Books in 1996. All the words and music are original compositions by Peter Oram and to quote from his introduction to the book: “[the songs] are intended for children aged from about six to nine ... Although this volume has been prepared primarily for classroom use, there is of course no reason why it should not also have its place in home music-making. The age-old practice of parents singing to and with their children has all but died out, and if the songs in this book went even a little way towards remedying this loss, they would have more than served their purpose.” I couldn't agree more! The themes of these songs are nature, the seasons, various animals, the weather as well as a fun birthday song.
