It is the dead of winter and someone is knocking at the door. It is a “fellow who's needy and poor” asking to “coming in for a warm.” This is a good one to sing around the festival of Saint Martin as it touches on the theme of helping those less fortunate than ourselves. As there are two clear roles in the song, it lends itself to role play. This song can be sung as a canon in class 4.
