This song has one of the sweetest melodies of all the nursery rhymes we have recorded. It also has the  word “hog” in it, which is a fun synonym for the word pig. “Home again, home again jigetty jig” is  something my mother used to say whenever we came home from a long journey. It could be sung as a  travelling song with the children – on the way to or from the school yard, for example.
